I'm looking for a charcoal grill for at home..I have a weber at the campground..got all gas grills here. .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I got it because it was discontinued by lodge and most sellers are now charging an obscene price.

Pam, I just sent Lodge an e-mail about the Sportsman being discontinued. I hope its not true. My dad cooked on one many years ago and that's part of where my love for the grill came from. Kerry bought me one of these about 10 years ago and its still going strong although I do need a need grate if they are discontinued.
I may buy another grill and just keep it in the box until I need it.
It is a great little grill and after a very short learning curve you will find you use it a lot.

I want crust...Lodge is on it's way..can't wait. I learned on the small one, cst iron with cast iron grates..wonder what ever happened to it. I do a lot of charcoal and open fire in the summer, can't wait to do it here. I'm ready. .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

That's what I usually do, but last time I used the grill grates I got for Christmas on my Rec Tec. Takes a bit longer to get screaming hot than lighting the gasser but man was it good!
