Jack Daniel's Old No.7 BBQ Sauce

1/2 large onion, minced very fine
4 cloves garlic, minced very fine
3/4 cup Jack Daniel's Whiskey
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 tablespoon salt
2 cups ketchup (cheapo kind works fine)
1/4 cup tomato paste
1/3 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons liquid smoke
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco or Texas Pete

Combine onion, garlic, and Jack Daniel's Whiskey in a 3-quart saucepan. Saute until onion and garlic are translucent, approximately 10 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then turn down to a medium simmer. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Makes about 4 cups. Store in Mason Jar in the fridge.

Notes : This works well on all meats! Great for Burgers, Chicken, Ribs, Moinks, whatever! If grilling, add to the meat the last few minutes of cooking as it will burn if you’re not careful. Keep in mind that a little char (caramelization) is good eats though!

Enjoy!
