Title: BBQ shrimp
Post by: tlg4942 on April 23, 2016, 09:46:29 AM
The brother in law Marc made some awesome BBQ. Shrimp for dinner last night. My sister made up a huge batch of Dinosaur BBQ "Mutha Sauce" yesterday and Marc picked up fresh shrimp at Billy's Seafood. That combination made some awesome eats!

Looks great but seeing the title I thought you were talking about New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp like these.......

..... which can be served over grits but are best with just the liquid and shrimp in a bowl with lots of good Italian or French bread for dipping and sopping.

I use the original Paul Prudhomme's recipe that was in his first cookbook. We also prefer to shell and devein the scrimps first so we don't burn our fingers. I'll boil the shells and get a nice shrimp stock and use that in the recipe. I make 1 1/2 times the sauce so there's PLENTY of sauce for dipping french bread and serve with Texmati rice, either on the side or like this serving.
