Another great option, in my opinion, is the Weber 26.75 Kettle. You can get on for $299 w/free shipping from WallyWorld. Ninety-five percent of my cooking is done on mine. One of the best things about going in this direction, other than the obvious - I also have a great grill - is the variety of accessories available for you down the road, should you choose.
Here is mine cooking a couple of pork butts taht I took on the Annual Family Beach Trip and with the addition of a 22.5" grill grate and a couple of stove bolts, some beef short ribs for dinner that night.
