Interesting.
I don't really care for apples to oranges comparisons but this was interesting.
The results clearly show that you are going to get moist tender meat from all sources. Just depends on if you prefer the smokey taste profile.
I have done pulled pork in our pressure cooker and it was very moist and tender. I of course missed the smoke flavor.
I could see if time was pressed, maybe an hour in the smoker and then finishing in the pressure cooker.

DUH!!!
I have never thought of cutting a butt into chunks like that...you KNOW they're gonna cook faster and probably get more smoke flavor.
Definitely gonna do that next time...in the AKORN.

Not a huge heavy smoke fan or a pulled pork fan (not a normal tailgater lol). My wife makes it at times in a regular slow cooker. I can eat it that way but the crispy part does sound good but I am not buying the green egg
