Title: My first Sous vide cook On my Chefman Sous Vide.....a London Broil.....Amazing
Post by: Tailgating is my game on May 09, 2018, 09:53:40 PM
All i can say is why did I wait four months to use it.????

Amazing just like the text book, One hour at 129 & into the pan for a quick sear.   Garlic salt & trader joe spice & a little butter

I love this Chefman company as this is my second product from them. .

Nice!    I have tried and tried to justify a Sous Vide unit to Kimmie but she in no way would eat any thing that ain't seared (burnt, ruined, killed, add own description)  ;)

Those that have met kimmie will testify to that  :D :D :D :D

That really does look goooooooood!

Tommy...AFTER you Sous Vide something....you typically sear it. Or in Kimmie's case....throw it into the fire for a while..... ;) :D :D :D

Thanks folks!  Best thing about it is because the bag is sealed I can throw in some  laundry so that it washes as the meal cooks. My socks came out great ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ;) ;) ;) ;)

I think I paid $29.00 for the thing & it works great.

Looks delicious! Try a 48 hour chuck roast. It will come out melt in your mouth and taste better than a lot of steaks.

Ya I was going to say up your time on that roast to at least 6 hours, I will go as high as 23 hours. World of difference.

Thanks Mike! Will I put it in the oven on high after to give it any crust. If so at what temp & for how long?  Also the same 129 in the bath?  Sorry for all the questions Mike

The last one I cooked I seared it on my Blackstone griddle for about 2 minutes per side. Nice crust and still melt in your mouth good.  I seared it at about 500 degrees. Doesn't take long.

Next time try putting your socks in the bag with your steak...you will not need garlic then, cause you added the "seasoning"..... ;) :D :D :D

Tommy I almost think it was beginners luck as it was so easy & fun to do. I sat there watching the thing do it's magic with my wife saying what is that thing. Anyway, I consider myself as a weekend warrior at best but it came out like a pro. Just a couple of minutes in a hot pan  for a quick sear & done. Now I have to do it again ??? ??? ??? ??? ???....how do they say that in french ;D ;D ;D ;D
