Happy “Tasty Tuesday!” If you’re looking for something different to cook for your Independence Day celebration, try out this marinated prawn recipe, courtesy of MAK owner James Small.

Marinated Jumbo Prawn Skewers
Serves: 4-6 people

Ingredients:
2 lbs. raw, de-vained and peeled Jumbo prawns (approximately 30 shrimp)
2 cups orange juice
2 Tbsp. garlic powder
2 Tbsp. crushed black pepper
1 Tbsp. oregano
Wood or metal skewers
9” x 13” glass casserole pan

Preparation:
Place the prawns in the pan and cover with the orange juice. Soak for one hour. In the meantime, in a glass bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. After marinating the prawns, thread onto the skewers. Once threaded, sprinkle both sides with the dry rub.

Cooking:
Start your MAK and adjust temperature to 450F. Allow grill to come up to temperature. Place prawn skewers in grill and cook for 8-10 minutes,  turning once. Carefully remove skewers from the grill and plate them Serve and enjoy.

Were these done with FZ covers on or off?  I suspect on, but wondered if they were done direct.
