Title: MAK Mobile Issue?

Hi guys, I bought a 1 Star about a year ago and have really enjoyed it.  I recently bought the mobile add on from BPS.  I am have an issue today that I am hoping someone can help with.  The grill keeps defaulting to “Smoke” mode down from 275 where I have set it and the pellet boss reads “web control timeout”.  To be clear, I have been using MAK Mobile today. Any ideas?  Thanks for your help!!!

I am not sure but I think your controller is losing the wifi connection and thus defaulting to safe smoke mode.  You may want to to try changing the orientation of the antenna or move the unit closer to the wifi source, if possible.  I am not sure if this is the only possible reason.

the Mak defaults to smoke mode when the internet connection is lost for more than 15 min.I was having horrible luck with my 2 star Mak mobile for almost a full year, until recently, when I got myself a WiFi extender and created a guest WiFi account with exactly 13 numerical characters.This solved all issues.It now works flawlessly.

WiFi extender may fix your issue...Better yet, a Wifi MESH router will likely give you the additional signal strength.

We use a google mesh with one unit in the backyard
