My beloved Texas A&M just beat Oklahoma...41 to 13
I think I may un-cork a very expensive bottle of scotch now...... :D :D :D ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D
-
tee - I'm glad A&M won but why do you need an excuse to open a good bottle of Scotch? And what was it?
-
I was talking with Tee the other day and he suggested I pose the following question to you directly.
If you serve beans and pinapple will you get Hawaiian music?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Tee, I really enjoyed that game. Johnny Football is freaking awesome. I hate Alabama has to face him for the nest 3 (or probably 2 since he will go pro) years.
-
Congrats to A&M they played a great game!
Open that bottle and enjoy, but save a shot for the TIDE!!!!!!
-
Thanks TP and TMB!
I am hoping that the Tide fulfills an un-requited dream of the 'ole Bear's......
To beat Notre Dame! in the 4 meetings between Alabama and Notre Dame - the Tide never beat the Irish...Something that not grates on the nerves of every dyed-in-wool 'Bama fan but on anyone that loved and respected Paul "Bear" Bryant.
As "WE" ( Texas A&M ) had Bear Bryant first ( You Alabama boys stole him - some of us have forgiven you ;D) and - tho, we felt jilted by the Alabama move - we still knew that the Bear had left his mark of greatness on the A&M program. So, I remember watching Coach Bryant every time the Tide was on T.V. on Saturdays.
I think the feeling about the Bear Bryant/Alabama relationship for Aggies was - like having a favorite uncle that tho he divorced your aunt - you still loved the guy.
So - I will be pulling hard for the Tide to beat the Irish.
But -make no mistake - the next time A&M and the Tide play...I WILL be the 12th man on the field ;D

Pam, what is sad is that Ohio State had a one year bowl game suspension for NCAA violations and they chose to play in a bowl last year and to play the players that had gotten in trouble. If they had sat out last year they would be playing in the championship game this year. I hate they are undefeated and not getting to play.

Not as PO'd as we are up here. Perfect season..we should have had it and all the a$$holes that screwed up got to play..not fair. Urban Meyers had a great 1st season tho. Watch out this year.
Tee I have always been a troublemaker/perfect angel. LOL.

I haven't done it lately but as I recall you get about the same sound as when you shove a banjo up an Aggie's ..... Ahh, never mind; I don't want to have that particular visual memory running through what's left of my mind.
