Most Dangerous Chocolate Cake in the World.
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder (Hershey's is best)
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional..go with bittersweet!)
Small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (Micro Safe)
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Add milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
ENJOY! (Can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). You can make it more 'guilty' adding chocolate syrup, ice cream, etc!!!
And, why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!!!
You betcha I'm sharing with my whole list 'cause if I'm gonna get fat, YOU need to do it too!

WOW, sugar induced coma! ;D

Being diabetic I can't eat that but my mouth is watering. I sometimes dream of chocolate.

I am too but have one bite and give the rest to yor bride.. Pam ★*˚°。°
-
Who can have just one bite??????
-
I find that sometimes one bite will do..or maybe 2, just so you get the taste. The dr told me if I crave something, have a little bit. And it works for me. It's all where your heads at. I have a sign on the front of my frig, been there for 19 years now. The duty of the diabetic is control. Pam ★*˚°。°
-
Thats absolutely correct. Mine is under control. My brain works differently. I love to drink, mostly vodka lime and club soda. However I couldn't have just one. I have 2/3. BUT I can go for months without a drink with no cravings. Easy to diet that way. Control is the saving grace. Phil

I drink CC, diet 7up and lime...love that stuff..but mostly in the summer..I am a cheap drunk, but I do like it. Pam ★*˚°。°

Try it with one of those new sweetners made from sugar. I hear some of them are okay for baking, haven't tried them though.

I did change the recipe..I add the Splenda for baking instead of sugar, skim milk and egg substitute. It still works. Pam ★*˚°。°
-
Pammie, this IS dangerous! You're gonna make me make this....tonight!
-
Ok, I just made it. And devoured it. And my waistband wishes it never saw this recipe! ;D

Johnny..glad you liked it ★*˚°。°

Pam, Thanks. I wrote it out on yellow notebook paper along with my others. Will make it for my wife and daughter tomorrow using the low cal stuff. Dee
-
Jack, I wish I lived closer to you so you could teach me how to use this thing. ;D Dee

I get the sugar substitute and the skim milk, but I never understood doing an egg substitute or egg whites only...the yolk has all kinds of vitamins, proteins and health benefits and studies have shown that eating eggs does not raise your overall cholesterol, so enjoy, eat the real thing.
-
bobo...your right about the egg....but I had some here..so..had to use it up. but it's still good. Pam ★*˚°。°

I gotta teach Dee to copy & paste. This will make his life a lot easier.
Dee..ya ready for this? When you are, I will show you how..real easy. I promise.

Not sure if I just have a big "tablespoon" or if the measurements should have been "teaspoons", but I figured out pretty quick the ingredients would not fit in my mug, so I poured them into a bowl instead. Seems to have made enough for at least three servings. Pam, this is a pretty good recipe - and your right - 5 minutes to cake is a dangerous power in the wrong hands :o. Here are the results of my experiment:

Bobo..looks just fine to me and a bowl works too. I use the big soup mugs with the handles. Good job. Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Chocolate and microwave ovens...Expanding our waistlines since 1967 ;D......
THAT is good stuff Pam!

I don't mean to sound negative, but when I tried that recipe 4+ years ago I actually didn't care for it. I thought it was a little too heavy and eggy for my taste.
I played with it, & can post my own revised version if anyone's interested. It much lighter, more cakey and makes 2 mug cakes.
-
Tent..I know its old...but for a 5 minute thing..not bad..send revised edition please. I am willing to try it for research sake. I will sacrifice myself for chocolate. Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

it looks so good but no microwave at home we cook old style.
-
Some time ya just gotta haave some chocolate .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

This is the kind of thing where you are sitting around one evening and somebody says, "dang, some cake would be great about now", and there is no way you are going to spend the next hour making a cake mix in the oven, or two hours mixing one from scratch, not to mention the clean up involved. In this case, you get up and 5 minutes later you have a pretty good dessert. A lot of variations are available to you too. I paired mine with some vanilla ice cream while it was still warm, a little fudge sauce would have been great too if I would have had some.

Ummm...Bobo...? You say that as if cake only represents an occasional craving. For some of us.....the only time I am not craving cake - might be when I am asleep....nah...I am dreaming of cake then ;D

Now that's what I call taking one for the team!
I love it! ;D

Pam, I cannot eat any sugar at all or I will go into a comma. But, I would love to have at least a bite of this.
