I see some pulled pork coming this weekend!
A bone-in butt trimmed out to about 5 3/4 pounds and rubbed with paprika, celery seed, pepper, cumin, brown sugar oregano, cayenne, dry mustard, sage and bay leaves... Getting happy in the refrigerator for a day and then heading to the smoker.

It'll be a happy weekend. I did one Tues. Opened the leftover container last night to pack today's lunch and the smell was so good I wanted to dive in right then.

Sounds like a great plan for any weekend!

Nice flavor combo Mike.
Some folks are rubbing with molasses first then following up with all the dry ingredients so that it all "sticks".
Some use prepared mustard, and some combine the two.
Looking forward to seeing your cooked pork!

Watching this one......

I just use CYM for the "glue"

Molasses, mustard, honey, watsa sauce all mixed up is a tasty glue.

pappy. your mixing molasses, mustard, honey all in one glue? i like it. ;D

Yes sir. My family likes sweet! Gets too thick, through in a little grape seed oil to thin it out.

Gonna try and do two butts with the pellet grill Satuday if the rain holds off
All I'm doing is CYM and rub. Never thought of mixing honey, mustard a molasses together. Looking forward to seeing how this turn out

Supposed to snow (again) so I'll have to see what smoker to fire up.
