Thanks, I'm using the Poly Science Pro. I debated a long time before making that purchase but now I'm very glad that I did.  :)

I'm so on the fence about buying one. The primary reason I want one is for fish and shellfish. Have you tried it with these?

I don't much care for fish but I did halibut a few times and it is to die for even a fish loving friend said it was the best she ever had and it is a very quick cook too. I seem to recall that the time was only 11 mins. for an inch or more thick piece of halibut. Scallops I do like and again they were fantastic every time. I'd be willing to say that fish in one thing that SV is great at cooking.

Yes, I thought it was worth every penny:) It is very accurate, maintains the temp. perfectly, very quick recovery and I can use different containers to fit the size of my cook. I use it a lot, from making yogurt, to cooking meats, fish, poultry and pork. It's more like buying an appliance than a tool.  :)

I was expecting the pizza to be cooked Sous Vide (that would have been really interesting)  :D.  That does look good, BTW.

And you got it!  ;D I really like the fish - that alone might make this a worthwhile investment. Thanks for this thread!
