Post by: Lynne S on June 05, 2013, 08:18:00 PM
!/2 lb rhubarb cut into 1/4 inch slices, add a sugar syrup made with 1 C sugar and 1/2 C water. SV at 135 F for 2 hours. Blend and stain. Pour some of the liquid over ice cream or skip the blending and top some ice cream with the SVed rhubarb.

Now, THAT is a comfort food dessert! I love the flavor of strawberry-rhubarb anything. What a great way to make a syrup. Thanks Lynne.

Try a strawberry-rhubarb pie Mike. If you like sweet/tart combination of flavors - it is a classic.
