Title: Million dollar idea for free
Post by: Pappymn on July 27, 2013, 02:19:17 PM
Toasters frustrate me. They really are no faster or better then they were 30 years ago.

And by the way, why don't ovens preheat any faster then they did 30 years ago?

This country put a man on the moon and invented Patent pending Tendarub. We can do better ???

I think this idea is genius ;)

Wow that would be awesome Pappy!

This is right up there with the solar powered flashlight and the battery powered battery charger!

You know I had an idea for a "clear bathing suit" but for some reason no one wanted to develop it. Oh well more money for me ;)

I could see a wall of cascading melted butter running down the glass so you wouldn't even have to butter your toast :) Just took your million dollar idea up to 1.5 mill ;)

I'll buy one Pappy (as long as the price is less than $20).

I ditched my toasters years ago.  Couldn't satand all the crumbs.
I toast one side in the skillet.  I actually like that better than 2 sided toast.

That is how the Sizzler serves their garlic toast. Only one side is toasted and the other side is soft and warm......

I'll be glad to "pitch it" if you want to bring it to market.

Been wanting to invent powdered water for years, but I didn't know what to add to it.  ;)

To late the military already has dehydrated water in a can. It is in a pilots survival kit. Sounds like a chunk of rubber in a can till you open it then it turns into water.

Speaking of toasters... when I was 17 I bought my first toaster, it was a Toastmaster, price was under $15 (I'm thinking $12.99) It was great, toasted evenly on both sides, exactly the way I like my toast and it did it the SAME every time.  It lasted 30+ years, then I gave it to my son when he went off to college about 8 years ago, bought myself a new, fancy one (I won't mention brand at this time)..it was $69.95. I thought it would be HiTech and all, I was wrong. I worked okay (not great) for the first year, after the warranty ran out it became pretty worthless... way too light the first set of toast, then really dark, almost burnt black, on the second round. So I threw it out. I have bought a new toaster every 12 to 18 months as they all work (kinda sorta) for a year or so, then get worse. The last 2 I bought were off-brand models under $20 and they work about the same as the high priced ones, in a few cases, even better.  A few years back I thought I'd scored big when I found a Toastmaster brand toaster, it was about $35, I jumped on it. Well, I got it home, tried it, what a disappointment. I turned it over and seen it was made in China, I Googled the brand and see they exist in name only now. It went back for a refund after a week. I'm getting by with a $15 department store unit that I grabbed on a Christmas sale last year, but I'm still looking.
