I'm hoping to grow enough pickling cucumbers to give it a try.  Never did my own but I do love Claussen pickles a whole bunch!!!

Ask the missus if she'd be willing to share her recipe spuds.  Nothing like a great pickle!

With the rising costs etc. we're looking into doing some canning this year.  Haven't done any canning for 25 years.  We're fortunate enough to have great farms around this area and I should be able buy veggies and fruit in bulk.

Sounds great.  Thanks.  No big rush since it's going to be another 60 days or so for the cucumbers to be ripe and ready  ;D

Ain't that the truth, I look forward to our local farmers market here every Friday for the locally grown fresh stuff.

Over here those wouldn't make it the house! I'd "snack" them on the way across the yard! Nice.

Harvested my first Spaghetti Squash of the season this morning.  Not overly large but I think it will serve the 2 of us just fine.

Fortunately the gopher or mole did not destroy all my spaghetti squash plants  8)

It just refuses to warm up around here. Ground is still cold and nothing wants to grow. Your so lucky to have such good weather. I'm very jealous. Your efforts have sure payed off Pete, great looking veggies.

Friday, June 20
Showers

Day: 55°
Night: Overcast with showers at times. Low near 45F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Sorry to hear that smoke  :(  Weather forecast for the next week is highs in the mid 90ºF with evenings in the low 60s.  No rain in the forecast for probably the next 3-4 months ...  Trying my best to not use the air conditioner $$$.
