Fresh Tuna
« Reply #-1 on: August 25, 2014, 10:45:38 PM »

Picked up my upgraded MAK 2 Star General today from the MAK facility in Dallas Oregon.  While there Katrina shared some fresh Tuna with me that she got from her friend.  It seems that he loves to fish but doesn't really like to eat fish so she received some of his bounty.  Kat smoked some of the Tuna earlier and gave us a sample ...  man-o-man is it ever exquisite!!

Couldn't visit Kat empty handed so I brought her a couple freshly cooked Dungeness Crabs  :D  ;)

Have only eaten Tuna out of a can ... Sorry Charlie!  8)  -  but I'm looking forward to smoking/cooking me some tomorrow.  Hope mine turns out as good as Kat's did.  I know seared Tuna is fabulous but I just have never been able to bring myself to eat rare/raw fish - baking, smoking, frying, etc is more to my taste.

Fresh tuna seared over a hot fire beats canned tuna any day.  We have brought home fresh Albacore from our deep sea fishing adventures out of San Diego and it was wonderful, both the fishing trip and the catch.  ;)

Unfortunately this time next week we'll be on the road again going back home to Northern California.  Time sure does fly ...  but we're thinking that maybe we need to spend more time on the road!!  8)  ;D
