Wife doing pumpkin (from pie pumpkins) and pecan (our homegrowed pecans).   She makes a crust that is to die for.   Pumpkin cooked yesterday, crusts in the frig as I write this.   Pies in a couple of hours after some last minute shopping--mostly to see what vegetables are the freshest for roasting.   NO green bean casserole--PRAISE THE LORD!

I wanna make one of these apple pies in a corn bread cast iron skillet. Individual pieces. I want to add a streusel topping with caramel drizzled all over it. Kick it up a notch.  Pam   .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.
