Re-Heating Prime Rib

(1/3) > >>

MoHuka:
I had enough PR left over for 3 more plates.  We had a visitor for a couple of days so decided I wanted to finish off the PR but facing the dilemma of heating without cooking.  I went on line and most people said to just let it sit a room temperature then eat.  I read where someone suggested to put it in Ziplocs and place in warm water...hmmm..sounds like Sous Vide.  So I got out the Anova and set for 120F, vac sealed the PR and dropped in the tub for 30 minutes.  The pictures don't do it justice but the meat was warm all the way through and pink-red on the inside.  Nearly as good as the original dinner.  Anyway thought this to be a good way to warm up anything, especially meat that you don't want to overcook.

ACW3:
Thanks for posting.  I don't tend to think about using sous vide for "re-heating" a meal.  Great idea!!  I'll be doing that in the future.

I don't use a sous vide machine, but most of my reheating is done with freezer bags is near boiling water.

Tailgating is my game:
Left overs  What is that  ;) ;)

Thanks for the great tip?
