BSLT's - Bacon, Sausage, Lettuce & Tomato Sammies
« Reply #-1 on: August 06, 2012, 12:45:18 PM »
After several busy days of heat & humidity, it was sure nice to fire up the MAK for some easy classic summer fare.

So what do you do when big ripe locally grown tomatoes are in season at a great price?

Why, you make BLT's of course. Or, in this case... BSLT's

Bacon, Sausage, Lettuce & Tomato Sammies

2 pounds of thick cut Bacon and 1 1/2 lbs of homemade Breakfast Sausage on the MAK in smoke mode for a while...

then bumped to 300° until done.

I'll take mine on some rye bread with some Peppery Mayo please.

Perfect for a warm summer evening meal. Thanks for sneaking a peak!

I like it..  Well, not tomatoes, but everything else looks spectacular!

Do you just pull the sausage off that frogmat in a 'slab' and cut it?

You got it!

And to make it easy to put on the grill, I flatted it on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Put the FrogMat on top, flipped it over to put it on the grill and peel the wax paper off.

One of my favorite sammies is a BLT, I like to throw a fried egg on it for a BELT. Will have to try the sausage too.

That would be a fine breakfast now, too.
