New (to me) wing sauce
« Reply #-1 on: March 08, 2015, 06:59:35 PM »
I put a few drummettes on the Traeger today and tried a sauce that my son recommended.  I'm not one who likes things super hot and the main ingredient of the home made sauce was sriracha  mixed with butter, lime juice, soy sauce, and honey.  I was expecting it to be much hotter than it was.  It did open my sinuses but it was a very good sauce.  Even my wife, who is not big on heat ate them and didn't complain.  I will do these again.

Sounds like a very nice flavor combo - bookmarked this one. Temps are coming up around here, could be trying it soon. Thanks!

It sounds like a great combination.....Have you got a recipe so that we can try it out too?

4 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1/2 fresh squeezed lime

Using a paper towel, dry wings.  Coat with olive oil after seasoning with S&P, and garlic powder (or substitute you favorite rub).  Cook on high for approximately 30 minutes.  Once skin begins to crisp, brush the wings with the sriracha sauce.
