Tornado Crawfish
« Reply #-1 on: April 27, 2015, 04:35:39 PM »
After the insane storm blew though Saturday we were still able to finish the day with the planed crawfish boil.
I boiled a couple small chickens at the end and also decided to try a tender loin. I want to sear it now and then I will post on how that turns out.
Here are the highlights of the evening.

Purging

The kids pitched in with the corn shucking

The girls goofing around

Even the dog got in on the action

All in all we had fun and some great food.

Headed down to Mexico Beach this weekend. Will have some good shrimp and oysters and hopefully some mudbugs and lot's of cold beer. Sunday is first Sunday of the month and Lookout Lounge has First Sunday potluck on the deck. Locals bring in food and there is good music and cheap beer. We have been doing it for years and they treat us like locals. The next time I retire I may have to move down there.
