Pretty simple.  But when tomatoes are in season I like to cut one up in thin slices. Then generously butter the outside of two slices of sourdough bread, put one slice butter side down on a hot pan, layer slices of smoked swiss, tomato slices, and then a bit more cheese, finishing with the last slice of bread. Brown on first side,  flip, press and brown on second side.
Also sliced apple with smoked cheddar is a good one too!

Sourdough bread buttered put on the grill. Muenster cheese on both slices. After the cheese starts to melt, slap em together. Give me some dill pickles on the side.

In the winter, add a bowl of tomato soup!

I like a good grilled cheese with ham. But for a treat I like some Palmetto Pimento cheese on a grilled cheese sandwich. It is a South Carolina pimento cheese with just the right amount of bite.

Macaroni and grilled cheese sandwich. Had it at the fair before.

Thick slices of american cheese, bacon, some home made macaroni and cheese, on Hawaiian bread.
