I've ate them, but never thought about the work involved in skinning and filleting a gator.

There is a rattler over by the fence line, i see him again and he meets the 22cal pellet then some chili.   :D :D

Tommy:  Your gator was probably not fresh.  As you know, any meat especially seafood or gator is much better when fresh.  Try it again, if you can find some fresh.  If it tastes fishy, it is not fresh.  It is really good when deep fried in smaller pieces.
