New Ooni Karu on Kickstarter.  Uses wood and charcoal with a bigger opening, that looks like it would fit the wood chunks you buy in a bag. I'm sure you can cut it down to size if you have a stack of wood.  I signed up for emails from then and they just released this thought I would share if anyone is interested.
