Hi!
I'm Dick, a 70 year old. Retired. Live in South Dakota. Have a Traegar that shuts down too frequently.
I like the Traegar pork loin and reverse seared steaks the best. I would appreciate advice on Traegar just shutting down after a few minutes. The heat chamber seems to get "clogged" with unburnt pellets. I cleaned it all out and tried again with no grill or drip tray or heat diffuser and watched... same thing. Put it back together and it then worked the next day. HUH? And once since did not work again. Ugh!

Welcome aboard.

I don't have experience with a Traeger nor am I a pellet pit technician, but it seems to me that all that's required to sustain a fire is fuel and air.  The auger is dropping pellets so you have fuel.  My GUESS is that you don't have adequate air flow.

Can you hear the fan?

Is there something wrong with the pellets causing ash to plug the firepot holes?

We used to have a member that's a Memphis Technician.  I'm hopeful that he reads your post and knows the solution.
