ok, well if you don't know i like fishing.  alot.  been fishing since i was a wee boy w/ my dad.  i still have my first fenwick pole and daiwa reel.  so far i have only missed 4 days fishing this year.   i have never been a hunter.  my family wants me to get into it.  they want me to get into duck and deer hunting.  i'm not really a gun person.  i'm more of a drive your truck down the lake type of guy.

i just need my poles.

and chair.

its nice here in the afternoon.

boo ya.  who da fisherman.

a nice fat rainbow trout and a kokanee (rare).  the kokanee jumped out of the water twice.  man, it that doesn't get you excided.

see, pink meat (kokanee).

white meat (trout).

i got this.... from the water to the grill in less than 3 hours.  can you say fresh fish.

lets fire up the 26" kettle.

oh my gosh.  look how big those fish are.     ::)  oh, i'm using my instant gourmet on these babies.

everyone in the pool.

must have smokie, smokie.  alder chips will do.

ahhhhh.  happy, happy.

heh, whats that dog doing in the pic.

eyes are white and were at 145ish.  good enough.  look at the nice color.

i am sorry to say but these are the last pics of the fish.  i took them in the house and served w/ white rice.  my wife and daughter saved me some of the kokanee.  they ate all the trout.  it doesn't get any better than this.  thanks for looking.

Love to go fishing!!  I'd love to go fishing with you!!  I am sure we would have a ball.  Getting ready to go to a fly fishing show the weekend after the Super Bowl.  Two weeks later I am headed to a custom rod building show.  Mr. "T" is going with me.  (Got to get away from his cookers for a while.)

Mr. "T" and I are planning some trout fishing trips as soon as the weather cooperates around here.  Looking forward to getting a few trout and cold smoking a few.  Have your tried cold smoking any of your fish?  Cold smoke, vacuum seal and into the freezer.  Pull one out, debone carefully and make into a fantastic trout dip.  Mr "T" makes a mean trout dip.  My wife and I both love it.

It is a tough stream to fly fish - in this section. Even for nymphing. The elevation drop is very steep. swift water, with eddys and lee water pockets. The lower section ( another 1/2 mile down) is a bit flatter and the river widens up.

Key - it is usually a Mepps or Panther Martin spinner. The stream is a non-regualted one that sees very very few fishermen. On the right days - a gold hook will work ;). So few places like this on the East Coast any more...
