Nice  composition, balance and color.  In six years of judging I've had probably fewer than ten boxes in front of me that did not have grass.  Gutsy!

No greens required or allowed in Florida BBQ Association Events....  I play with lettuce for the KCBS events.

two butts minimum required.  More components demostrates a competely and perfectly cooked product.  Fills the box nicely too.

Wow, that is a nice box of meat!  Back when I was a judge would have given that one a 10.  Nice shootin' Tex!

I'm not a judge and don't know requirements - but just as a guy who likes to eat - this looks great! I really don't like the "green" in the turn in boxes I usually see. Those look contrived and artificial. This presents the meat in its best form, IMHO.

Amen to getting rid of the "weeds in the box."  I wish more would do it.

From what I'm told by teams doing the boxes, making a pretty box without the greens is quite a bit tougher.  It takes some finesse and more time that you sometimes just don't have.  It takes up volume in the box and gives some color contrast that looks pretty.
