Heritage Duroc Pork Chops
« Reply #-1 on: January 08, 2012, 06:16:00 PM »
The Piggly Wiggly grocery store had an ad in the Wednesday (Wednesday is grocery store ad day here) which they rarely do. They had Heritage Duroc pork chops advertised for $8.99 a pound. We went to the one nearest us and they did not have them. I stopped by one in a pricey neighborhood today and they had them. They are rib chops, bone in, and really nice looking. I picked up 10 nice chops, enough for 2 meals. Not sure how I will be cooking them yet.

The Pig at River Run has a great meat department. I even saw tri-tip there for $6.99 a pound. That is the only tri-tip I have ever found around here. I will be picking up one of those soon.
