I'd forgotten, too.  But, I do love good kraut!

Where do you get the equipment (special airlock jar)?

Asked...
Where'd you get your jar with all the tubes and goodies? I'm not that advanced (jar, overflow pan, ziplock bag of water, & cover) but might like to check it out.

... and answered...
I got the jar here http://www.culturesforhealth.com/natural-fermentation/fermentation-crocks.html I like the air lock since I don't have to worry about my wife complaining about any smells. This is just my second batch I would like to have one of the German crocks but pretty expensive. Don

Yeah..what Ka Honu said..there is no smell at all and it has sat on the kitchen counter for 20 days now. I just tasted it today..oh yummm. Will be doing more..my girlfriends grandma said to bring it to a boil then pack it tight in canning jars. then wipe the lids real good and seal hand tight and turn them upside down. they will be sealed in the morning. Gonna try it and then make another batch. This is supposed to keep the kraut crisper. Don..the Kim-Chee is fabulous too. Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ

Bringing some for the FG Pam? We could make some fresh bratwursts to pair up with the kraut!
