I found this on the web awhile back and it is a hit to serve with a lot of meals. We love it with spaghetti.
All you need is a boule of crusty bread, 8 oz. of shredded cheese; add some parmesan cheese and ¼ cup of melted butter mixed together. Add in some diced green onions or jalapenos.
Slice the bread, not all the way through; using a plate helps with this. Slice it both directions about an inch apart. Work the cheese into all the slits and top with any that’s left. Double wrap in foil closing at the top. Bake at 350 deg. for 15 minutes; fold the foil down and bake another 10 minutes.
I used sharp cheddar for this one and diced green onions. My bread was rosemary, olive oil. For guests serve on a nice plate and set in the middle of the table for everyone to pull off their own. For family I just leave in the foil and you can see from the last photo that two chunks were gone before I remembered to take a photo. This is good stuff!
