BBQ Capital Cook-Off
« Reply #-1 on: April 28, 2013, 09:11:35 AM »
We don't have a lot of competitors participating on LTBBQ but we do have a few and lots that stay interested, so:

Happy to report that Billy Merrill (BMerrill) with very little assistance from me, yesterday, finished 10th in Ribs at the Lexington, NC contest.  Out of 71 teams, we also could smile at our pork score of 25th which was a lot better than we'd hoped for.  We thought we'd be lucky not to be last in Chicken but finished 52nd.  We turned in a top 25 brisket in my opinion but a table of obviously moron judges clobbered it down to 62nd -- idiots.  If judging weren't blind I've have a little judge education session with them  >:(

Art Dunn (Over Dunn) couldn't be with us due to circumstances beyond his control and was mightily missed, especially since he could have done a much better job on the chicken even though he hates to be complimented on his chicken skills.
