Brunswick stew is a Southern tradition from way on back yonder...variations as numerous as pulled pork recipes...each one unique in flavor, etc.

This looks like a good one, too.  I hope some of you folks outside the region will give a try.  It is especially good when serve as a side dish with your bbq.
