Fresh corn is starting to arrive and there are so many ways to fix that great stuff.  Would y'all please share your tips and techniques on how you cook corn?  Thanks, Dee

Pull back the husk (but keep it on) and remove the silk. Close the husk back up and soak the corn in water, or beer for about 30 min to an hour. Take it out of the liquid and let it drain a bit. Throw it into the SRG on high for about 30 minutes (sometimes less depending on the corn). Pull it from the SRG, peel off the husk, slather it with butter and eat.

I am with Billy on this one! LOVE me some Mexican corn. Gotta have a squeeze of lime on it too.

I do it similar to GusRobin. Peel back husk, remove silk, replace husk. Soak in water, (I'm usually drinking the beer while overseeing the corn), drain excess water, throw on the grill. When most of the husk has burned off it's time for mayo and a good Cajun Spice kick! It's a camping staple.

My version of Corn-on-the-Cob

Fresh corn*, husks pulled back and silk removed
Annie's Roasted Garlic Olive Oil
Turbinado (raw) sugar

Brush each ear of corn with the Annie's and then lightly sprinkle with the sugar. Pull the husks back over the corn, tie with twine, if desired.

Place on medium hot grill and cook for approx 15-20 minutes, or until tender, turning a few times during cooking. Careful opening those husks!

*if corn had no husks, just use some heavy duty foil

that's the way

I have never seen that before. Stupid question, I assume that would shorten the final cooking time, or was the 8 minutes the whole deal?
