Congrats to member Billy Merrill who with the help of his son, Robert, finished 44th out of 96 yesterday at one of the premier contests in the country.  All the big guns were there and it was rough competition.  I judged the event and turn-in quality was high and scores were tight!  A top 50% finish among that crowd is something to be proud of!

Billy and I (and maybe Over Dunn if he can make it) will cook Greenwood, SC in July.  It is more of a medium sized contest and  I'm hoping we can climb the ladder a bit.

Billy and some my old old gang from Pelletheads will cook Apex, NC next weekend.  They won GC there last year!

I would compete more often if I could get my butler, maid, and gardener to do a better job of loading the truck  >:(

Congratulations to Bill and team.

HUB, if I had a chance to be the bottom guy on a smoking team I would bring my own pup tent :)

Just in case some did not know it - Bill Merrill is also the person that makes the Savannah Stoker. Great guy - and great product.
