So I had to try this to see I can get crispy skin. Rubbed with mayo.. Added some smoked garlic seasoning.. Onto the Mak at 325 for the whole ride.

Looks real good Scallywag.

Hard to tell, skin on or off? I tried once with skin on and my wife did not like it.

I was really happy.. I will be using the mayo trick from now on.

We love the mayo too, if you want to drop the calories, fat, and cholesterol you can use Miracle Whip with Olive Oil and it works exactly the same. We have used it on wings, whole chickens, and the next project is a whole turkey. We are hosting Thanksgiving this year so we need a few dry runs before it gets here.  ;D

Miracle whip is a salad dressing ;) says it on the jar ;D
I keep forgetting to use mayo when I do chicken. Hopefully I remember tomorrow. Gonna do a rack-o-BB's and some bird in the PBC. The wife is craving charcoal.
