Ed Maurin (Fast Eddy) posted this article another forum that I participate in.

I found it to be an interresting read and thought I'd share it.

Smoke - no problem, I guess I was just too quick to click! Actually, this was a much more interesting article. Was about to respond, but pulled it back for more thought.

This is a classic example of the oh, so popular, current attitude of "If you don't understand it, hate it" school of criticizing everything from politics to popcorn.  Change is upon us and will continue.  Alvin Toffler nailed it a long time ago.  If you can't handle change, you're in the wrong game.

I'm getting rather tired of banging this drum, but there are different styles of barbeque and contest style is just one of them.  It doesn't have anything to do with what is best.  It has everything to do with what wins  ::).  The ribs I have cooking right now I wouldn't want to enter in a contest, but my family will love them!

As I am fond of saying to my dog when she thinks its time to be fed, "Chill!"
