I'm in the same boat on the simple burgers ... that's a really nice final product, Mike.

I have been doing burgers for a long time on my Traeger low & slow, not as slow as Mike did here but still low & slow when it comes to burgers. Yours look good Mike & I'll have to try that way. Lately I have been doing them higher and on the back sides of grill grates for some good browning. Don

I usually do them on the SRG grill but I ran out of propane. I have 3 empty bottles on hand. The family said they like them smoked better.

I did a couple of burgers on my SRG yesterday. I like the nice sear marks, it cooks quick, and the flavor is good but the darn thing smokes way too much for me.
Is it just me or does yours smoke a lot when grilling burgers, or bacon, or anything greasy?

The inside of the SRG get's so hot with that grill top on that any grease going in there is instantly vaporized causing all that smoke. Sometimes you wonder if the fire dept is going to show up. The same thing happens with my RED.

Same thing that Muebe said. Sometimes I wonder what the neighbors are thinking when the smoke starts billowing out of my yard when I have burgers in the SRG. ;D
