Thank you very much for the compliment. "Mastering Barbecue" was designed to be a general introduction and overview of BBQ cooking along with a lot of recipes.

There are a lot of other BBQ books out there (and some are very good) but they mainly focus on recipes, not the basics.

I wanted to update the book as a lot has changed since it was first published in 2005 but my publisher -- Random House -- isn't inclined to do a revision.

You can have my brain any time, it's mostly filled with 10W40, like one of my eye balls, but I did get a third in chicken last year! And I slept at a Holiday Inn!
