My First Pulled Pork
« Reply #-1 on: September 23, 2013, 10:27:03 PM »
Nachos.

We have talked about a cook book but IMHO I can't keep up trying all the great cooks on this site. I remember seeing nachos with pulled pork.

Plain nacho chips with pulled pork, black olives and green onions. I didn't add pork to my wife's side.

Add the cheeses,

Out of the oven,

Served with all the fixings,

My wife didn't want the pulled pork on her side but didn't mind when she tried it.

Thanks for viewing.

That looks delicious, and I'm definitely going to save some of my pulled pork for something like this in the future.

On an aside, our spin on "nachos" in our area is to use sliced pan fried potatoes (about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick), and the potatoes are crisp on the outside, yet fluffy and creamy inside.  Of course, I live in Idaho, so what else would we do.  ;D

Drew,
Great plate!!  I have pulled pork and pulled chuck roast packages vacuum sealed in the freezer.  I also have cheese in the freezer.  All I need is some chips and onions.

That looks fantastic. Since we never seem to have left over pulled pork, I'll have to make some "extra" next time. And my wife will take all those extra olives folks are giving away  ;)
