This doesn't fit tightly into any one category (other than "really, really bad for you") but my fiance convinced me since it includes duck eggs, bacon, maple syrup, and something similar to pancake batter, it deserves to be considered breakfast!   Not that we're AT ALL rationalizing this artery abomination, pas du tout!   ;)

Used a basic yellow cake mix (substituting bacon grease for the vegetable oil), stirred in some chunks of smoked bacon, made up a frosting (maple extract, powdered sugar, maple syrup, and a dash of milk) and topped it off with (what else!)  crispy bacon sprinkles.

I made home made donuts at the last two gatherings and they killed them. I fried the donuts then topped them with maple icing, xxx sugar and maple syrup , them bacon bits on top. These guys love their bacon.  Pam

Oooooooh!!!  :)  That's about the only thing these were missing--  being deep fried!  ;)   

Now to turn my grilling attentions back to less lethal goodies...

And Sparky, I'm pretty sure that's why dogs like chewing on mail carriers.  They smell like all the bacon they steal out of care packages.   :)
