I'm very blessed to have a wife who, when it comes to competition/BBQ related events, will say, "Go and have a good time!" and she means it.   8)

I, like tnjimbob, am pretty fortunate. My wife is extremely supportive about my competitions. I have a great passion for cooking in general. I have a great steady job in a manufacturing/service company, but won't quit the stability. This is my chance to live my dream and still support my family. My wife says you can have up to 8 competitions a year without question. After that, she's needs a bribe. My kids want to come help and visit for awards time...it's great.
