Online Weight Verse Temp Cooking Chart

Evening All,

Looking for a chart that if I input weight and the temperature I want to cook at, it will give me the cook duration time.

Is there such a website.

I have been using what is called the Perfect Roast Meat Cooking Time Calculator on and off for awhile. 
So far so good.

Only item is you have to put an email address and I have an email just for purposes like that.

Just remember that these are sort of target "estimates" and your real time to temp will vary based on other things.  There's no substitute for a good insertable digital thermometer to tell you where you really are.

But, we all kinda like to know approx. how long things take. Keeps us from getting in trouble with the spouse! ;D

I think I see where you want to go and I don't think you can get there from here. Every chart and calculator I've ever seen tells you what temp to cook at. There's no way to input a higher or lower oven temp.

Bottom line is that you have to draw on your experience and other resources for "standard" oven temps (e.g., 350o), compare with the times you're familiar with for "low & slow" (e.g., 225o), extrapolate the result and throw in the MSU* factor to come up with a guess.

The links you got here are good .
however it is good for indoor cooking ,in an oven (a good oven )
it is not for smoking or outdoors.
there are variance like the temperature outside , 20 or 90 , is it a windy day or not .
but it will give you a guideline.

There's no way to input a higher or lower oven temp.
I agree unless, as was mention, one uses their own experiences to interpolate the change in temp.

This will be in a indoor oven but I do understand to rely on my experience. Sorry I have never tried this yet but I'm about to. I will try to document all.

I'm doing a standing rib roast and attempting 130 / 135ish. As rare as I can get it with Honey running scared ;D

The cook temp will be 150F, I'm guessing about 7 hrs to cook. I'm ok with the roast sitting on the counter for a while actually I prefer that it had enough time for the internal temp to start to drop. Then I will pop it back it back into 500F oven until the outside darkens.

I'm going to predict that size roast at that temp will take about 6 1/2 - 7 hours of cooking time.

Can't wait to see how your first rib roast turns out! :)
