Baked Cracklins - the Ka Honu way
« Reply #-1 on: February 15, 2014, 07:20:43 AM »
Last week I pulled the skin from a pork belly to make bacon Bacon_Link Than I made some Cracklins using the post from Ka Honu on how to do them in the oven vice the oil. Ka_Honu_Post

For the full recipe follow the link above for Ka Honu’s post. I only added sea salt for my first batch. These were very good and I highly recommend them for anyone that likes this. I would probably try to cook them outdoors next time because it gave the house a nice smell for a couple of days.  :o

Great looking cracklins and I sure would like to use that recipe being as cracklins are a southern hors d'oeuvres.

Problem is my cardiologist and I differ on the health benefits of cracklins and as of now he is winning the discussion.
