I have looked at all of them on the market, but came back tot eh Dork Foods - because of robust build, capacity ( will handle higher wattage ) and - it does not sit in the water. Long term - no matter what...sitting an electric appliance in the water is....well - a "mitigable risk" that I can avoid.
And - the versatility of having a tiny water pump - or aquarium air pump , w/ silicone air line tubing and ceramic air stone means I can use the Dorkfoods unit for whatever I want - in any configuration container.
It is not as elegant in appearance. But I have yet to find a food item that can tell the difference
