Peak City Pigfest LTBBQers
« Reply #-1 on: June 23, 2014, 07:46:24 AM »
It was an "average" weekend for me, Billy Merrill and Art Dunn as we finished 25th in chicken, 24th in ribs, 38th in pork, and 29th in brisket out of the 48 teams.  There were some big names there but we've faced most of them before and done better.  Our next gig will be in Galax, VA next month.

Did anything standout in your scores that raised any flags?  Unlucky draw with the judges, perhaps?  Just curious.

??? I'm confused! I thought all our turn ins were spot on for some kind of amble. Redneck Scientific got GC. We beat them by one point in 2012 for GC. Hey, what can you say? Great to see and cook with you again, Hub. :-*  If possible, can any body post our turn in photos?

Good luck in VA.

Hey Hub (& Billy, & Art),

I know you guys cook good meat, and can load up a pretty, grassed, box.   I've been there for some of your walks!

Hope it was, at least, a fun weekend!

it looks like we got a cold table in a couple of instances.  Also we erred on slicing the money muscle and got a comment card about attached pieces affecting at least one judge.  Dumb mistake.
