I finally decided to stop being cheap and ordered the turkey hanger. Turned out pretty good and made it a lot easier to get in and out to check temp. Was around 13 pounds and took a little over 3 hours. Used salt lick seasoning. And probably a little to much lol

Looks very tasty to me also please which of the 100's turkey hangers did you use?

PBCs do wonderful turkey! I'll be doing ours in the PBC again this year. I followed Noah's video direction precisely and everybody said, "do it again!"

Trying to decide how I am going to cook mine.
Might spatchcock mine, sous vide, and then finish on the grill....
Love the hangar though!

Not having a PBC I did not know PBC had a turkey hanger accessary but now that I do I so no reason this would not work in The Big Easy products.
Now I am using a hanger from a turkey fryer and this looks likes it work great and be less work.
Mine is on order for my TBE.

I also did a dry run for Thanksgiving with the PBC turkey hanger.
I had a 12.5 lb bird. It took a good bit longer than I was anticipating, at almost 6 hours.
It was on the cold side and quite windy. It was so windy I actually went out and made a wind break for it after a few hours.
It's three panels of 1/2" plywood, 2 ft wide and 38" tall. They are hinged so that it folds flat. I have a fourth piece I use as a roof.
Anyway, back to the turkey: it came out fantastic. We invited the neighbors over and had a little feast. They raved about the bird.

Glad to hear of your success Zak...keep us posted as you try more things in your PBC.

got my turkey hanger in the mail today, will be doing a second turkey for thanksgiving for out gathering as it will be my first time doing one. My sister will be doing the usual convection oven treatment they do every year. I'll be using the Simon and Garfunkel wet marinade from Amazing ribs for the turkey. I haven't used it before so I'll see how it turns out

Great looking turkey. I am sure the turkey you do for the big day will be just as good
