Smoke Box got stuck in the SRG this morning

When I went to load the smoke box this morning, it was stuck....took some serious finagling (and a little prying) to get it loose.  Now it doesn't seat as easily as it originally did.  Getting much more smoke leaking around the box.  Called Char Broil, they are sending me a replacement housing and box under warranty, but I'm trying to figure out if there is anything that can be done to avoid this.  Anybody have this happen to them?

Happened to me as well. If I try to remove it when still hot, it is nearly impossible to wedge in and out. I should probably get warranty replacement, too. You're not alone

I usually apply pressure upward & tilt the bottom out first, yea, it can be a real pain in the butt, my guess is the replacement one will do the same thing

X 2 took me some time to figure it out but I agree to apply pressure up and tilt and it will work fine,, good luck

I think the housing mounting screws may have wiggled loose causing the sloppy fit.  Might need to use a slightly wider screw to snug it up better...
