Title: Using foil in the charcoal basket
Post by: grossie on June 05, 2014, 07:42:37 PM
After reading a few posts, I decided to try foil in the basket to make cleanup easier.

Do you make any other accomodations for air flow when you do this? (crack the lid open, remove one of the hanging rods, mabye).
It seems like the charcoal is not as hot as it was without the foil. Which makes sense, as it's blocking some of the air.

Thanks,
Grossie

I think most people just layer the bottom of the barrel with foil... Not the basket.

So, I need to be smarter than the barrel? This is getting harder all the time!

For what it's worth, cracking the lid helps if you follow my Idiot' Guide to the PBC method.
