Well Tommy got a new cooker & I got a new charcoal lighter ::)
I've used the weber charcoal chimney for years, while weber didn't invent the chimney they make the best.
Well moved my regular size chimney to NOLA & since at home I'm usually grilling for a small number & when smoking I start with a small amount I got the mini chimney from weber.
It holds about 2 lbs of briquittes & works better than the regular size for lighting small amount.
It works better with a fire starter than paper since the bottom to hold paper is small.

I tend to use my small chimney more than my large one. Much better control when dropping coals (especially into the kamado).
-
I also prefer my mini chimney when doing a small cook or getting enough hot coals for the minion method in my WSM.

Sometimes bigger is not better.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention at the stores, but I don't recall every seeing a mini chimney, that is a must have accessory.

Yep they do have them in a mini version and I should get one too because dumping hot coals from a full sized chimney into a small space can be tricky.

The full-sized chimney is a bit awkward for dumping coals into the Pit Barrel Cooker basket, so I'm thinking of downsizing. What am I gonna do with my big one tho??
I thought about finding a small grate to set on top of my full-size chimney for an improvised mini-grill for hot dogs and such... Just kidding. Maybe.
