Title: Vacmaster 320
Post by: rexster314 on April 05, 2017, 01:43:32 PM
The Vacmaster 320 came in yesterday. It was one of the most well  packaged things I have ever received. The semi came down my street, liftgated it down to my dolly and a friend and I uncrated it, got it up my front steps and lifted it on the rolling cart I had modified just for the Vacmaster. It's huge. Specs say it's 175 pounds and I believe it.
Setup was a snap, just add oil to the pump and you're off to the races. I had half a brisket that needed sealing and it was the first test. Works perfect!
I wanted to show how big this thing is. I'm 6'2" tall so the picture shows the sealer in perspective.

It's the vacuum pump that's heavy. Almost everything is stainless steel.

I am assuming you do a lot of Vacuum Packing and believe in "go big or go home". :)
Nice machine and I do hope we see some works on it's operation.

I do around 150 lbs of smoked bacon every month for my little sideline business. I've found that I can put the Foodsaver canisters in the chamber and vacuum seal them without using any tube or other accessory. The lid goes on loosely, the sealer goes through it's cycle, and when done, the canister has been vacuum sealed, even better than using a Foodsaver and the attachable tube
I did some compressed watermelon and papaya last night. Seedless watermelon sprinkled with a little sugar since the watermelon was almost tasteless.
Here's a pic of the compressed watermelon
